Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative medicine is a form of treatment that uses the body’s natural cells and it's regenerative capabilities to heal damaged or painful muscles, tissues, ligaments, cartilage and bones.
Regen Care uses stem cell therapy or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections to help patients find relief from their chronic musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, ligament and muscle tears, or tissue inflammation.
Stem Cell Therapy
Stem cells are the precursor cells found throughout our bodies from which mature or differentiated cells are derived. They are characterized by the ability to renew themselves or develop into more specialized cells and therefore have the potential to replace cells or tissues which has been damaged or destroyed due to disease processes.
Mesenchymal stem cells are multipotent stromal cells that can differentiate into a variety of cell types, including osteoblasts (bone cells), chondrocytes (cartilage cells), myocytes (muscle cells) and adipocytes (fat cells which give rise to marrow adipose tissue)
The mesenchymal stem cells are harvested from the bone marrow under a local anaesthetic procedure.

He is registered with the HPSCA as an Independent Practitioner. He is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and the Aesthetic and Anti-aging Medicine Society of South Africa. He is also a member of the American Cosmetic Cellular Medicine Association.
Dr Wikus Pretorius became accredited through the American Cosmetic Cellular Medicine Association to provide the Vampire Facial, Vampire Facelift, Vampire Breastlift, Vampire Hair Restoration, O-Shot and P-shot.
He is only one of 9 Doctors trained in South-Africa to provide the O-shot and one of 3 Doctors to provide the P-shot.
